Management practitioner's and theoreticians agree that the most important resource of modern organizations are employees with valuable knowledge on the basis of which intellectual capital of enterprises is built. Therefore, the issue of acquiring, using and developing human capital is often the subject of research. Transformations taking place in the environment of modern organizations, however, force a change in the way of looking at standard human resource management processes, generating new challenges in this area. In a turbulent environment, it is necessary to search for innovative methods that will enable more efficient implementation of the HR function. Improving this function is of key importance from the point of view of building the competitive advantage of the organization in the knowledge society.
