The blue card proceeding as a tool to combat domestic violence

The paper presents the outline of the creation of the blue card proceeding in Poland as well as discusses tasks of the Police in the scope of combating domestic violence. The author indicates and describes the institutions designed to support the fight against domestic violence as well as provides the definitions of a blue card, physical violence and psychological violence. The paper contains the description of proceedings for opening a blue card as well as the statistical portrayal of blue card proceedings which were opened in previous years.
