Spaces. Studies and essays on literature
Keywords:
literature, literary criticism, psychoanalysisSynopsis
Volume collects ten essays on diverse subjects, constituting a coherent
whole thanks to the issues of space. The studies presented in the volume arises from the tendency of humanistic reflection
after the topological shift, but the author draws methodological inspirations from many sources, first of all from thematic literary
criticism and psychoanalysis. The space mentioned in the title is
understood in many ways: first of all as the physical space modified by the humanistic reality, but also as a place imagined, filled with meaning due to spatial motives of wandering or vision. The problems recurring in essays are also related to genology, especially to the spatial aspect of genre architexts, as well as to the long-lasting antiquity tradition correlated to the symbolic meaning of space in the topoi of Arcadia, life as a journey and others.
