Dziennik jako źródło przekazu czasu i przestrzeni na przykładzie kolekcji dokumentów Wacława Strońskiego

In the fonds of the State Archives in Piotrków Trybunalski, one can find extremely interesting archival materials related to the history of the 1920s and 30s. These archives, still rarely used by researchers, represent a rich source of knowledge about the socio-economic and political situation of people living at that time. The materials, prepared in Russian and Polish, are a kind of mirror of historical time and space. They present the professional and personal life of Wacław Stroński, a refugee from Soviet Ukraine, who eventually found his place in Piotrków Trybunalski. The materials contain a great deal of information about the everyday life of people who had to find their way in a new, previously unknown reality. Through personal stories, human emotions and everyday dilemmas we can trace the problems of functioning of a highly differentiated society today. Thus, the archival sources stored in the collections of the State Archives in Piotrków-Tribunalski are an invaluable testimony of past history.
