New tendencies in the area of HR function

Human resources are both a source of innovation and the primary competitiveness factor of contemporary organizations for they determine the effec-tiveness of other asset management. The extent to which the human factor contributes to the achievement of the objectives of organizations depends on HR function efficiency. That is why, it must be perfected at all times. It relates to improving personnel action performance and efficiency in making best use of potential that employees offer. However, contemporary turbulent businesses cause the HR function to be under permanent reorganization. Refining some traditional methods of HR function implementation is no longer sufficient to maintain the leadership position on the market in the dynamically developing business environment of modern organizations. Managers need new models and more and more advanced tools supporting the efficiency of HR processes. The purpose of this study is the systematization of knowledge about the principal improvement-oriented transformations in the area of the HR function, with special attention paid to future challenges facing HR depart-ments and specialists. Given the extent and complexity of the issue, this research study focuses on selected tendencies, i.e. sustainable HRM, green HRM, HR risk management, agile HRM, and virtual HRM.
