The popularity of local tourism during the COVID-19 pandemic

Synopsis

This study aimed to analyze changes in travel before and during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the current popularity of local tourism. In the conducted research, the diagnostic survey method was used, in which the research tool was a proprietary questionnaire. The Statistica 13.0 PL program was used for statistical calculations and analyze. The results obtained indicate that the popularity of local tourism increased only slightly during the COVID-19 pandemic. The most important motives for local travel, which received the highest average score from the respondents, turned out to be low travel costs, quick regeneration of physical and mental strength, as well as spontaneity of the trip.
