Synopsis

The article is devoted to issues related to social exclusion of old people. The author presents proposals of actions aimed at reducing the occurrence of this problem in public space. One of the directions in which one should go is the integration of seniors with all social groups as well as with a peer group. To make this possible, it is important to teach empathy for seniors from an early age. The essence of developing social ties and upbringing into old age was also described in the context of reducing the sense of being marginalized after retiring. Proposed solutions were presented to reduce the effects of a sense of loneliness after the end of human professional and social activity. The article contains the latest data from the Central Statistical Office and CBOS regarding both the scale of social ties in our country and the activity of seniors. Based on these data, the author presented the conclusions and proposals for the implementation of appropriate solutions.
