Synopsis
Social inclusion is a real necessity of the European society regarding the need for more effective integration of different vulnerable social groups in all aspects of life. The main aim of this p aper is to identify links between social inclusion and some of the key competencies for lifelong learning and to discuss how this link could be presented in teacher training. Living together demands to know the basic regulations of social interaction . Educ ation should prepare all persons to respect these regulations and to develop competences to behave appropriately in the respective situations. The importance of social competence is so visible at the beginning of 2020 in situation of the global
Coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic. This extreme situation for mankind raises the question about the necessity of a renewal of the idea of social inclusion when expressions such as “social distance”, “self self-isolation” become essential for personal and social surviving.
