The path of Zofia Moraczewska (1873 1873-19581958) to success in her fight for independent Poland: from a teacher to member of Parliament
Synopsis
This article presents the life of Zofia Moraczewska, with her path to personal, professional, and social emancipation, as a result of her political activity. The development of Moraczewska’s aspirations and personality was described, starting from the earliest years, when she was strongly influenced by her family environment of progressive intelligentsia and the school – Educational Institution of Wiktoria Niedziałkowska, in which Zofia became familiar with Positivism. Then, the first period of the future MP’s activity was outlined, namely, the actions for the benefit of local communities and for the organization of women's movement, which in the era of the fight for national independence was mainly represented by the Polish Women's League.
