Cognitive needs of the penitentiary institution

This chapter presents areas of scientific exploration that may significantly improve the safety of prison service officers, including areas of possible new research. The implication to designate these areas is the historical analysis of the purpose of the Prison Service with its tasks, powers and the training system. The conclusions drawn from the threats and the risks of their occurrence in the Prison Service are also taken into account.
