Synopsis

The growing production of a diverse range of food and industrial goods forces us to look for innovative packaging solutions. Innovation on the packaging market is becoming increasingly important, especially in the light of recent development programs for the Polish economy. Competition for custom-ers means that packaging ceases to be just a material covering the product and becomes an attractive "silent seller". The basic requirements for packaging from point of view of the environmental protection related to compliance with the "4R" principle: reduction, reuse, recover, recycling. The management of packaging and packaging waste in Poland is regulated by appropriate legislation acts, according to which both packaging and packaging waste at the stage of produc-tion, distribution and recycling should be not negatively affected the quality of the environment.
