The health care system in Poland has undergone dynamic changes related to digitization in the last decade. It can be said that the changes currently underway are a historical transformation taking place through the digitization of medicine. Digital solutions introduced in recent years, such as e-sick notes, e-prescriptions or the Patient's Internet Account are, however, only the beginning of the digital transformation that is gaining momentum and which is expected by both patients and entities performing medical activities. This review article aims to diagnose the current state of digitization in healthcare sector in Poland, in technical and legal aspects. On the basis of the literature and in particular legal acts, practical aspects of digitization in health care and related problems were presented.
