Organization of municipal public transport on the example of Municipal Transport Company in Siedlce Ltd.

According to the legal act on municipal self-government, the municipality's own tasks include satisfying the community's needs, including the issues of local public transport. This article discusses the tasks of local government units as the organizers of public transport. It presents the issue of concluding contracts by the authorities for the provision of public transport services, as well as the issue of financing public urban transport. In the study, the analysis of relevant normative regulations was illustrated by the organization of urban transport in the City of Siedlce.
