SAFETY OF MASS EVENTS WITH PARTICULAR EMPHASIS ON THE FOOTBALL MATCHES

The situation which took place during the final match for the Polish Cup between Legia Warszawa and Arka Gdynia illustrates that the fotballers and their fans are not safe. The systems are not sufficient enough and the people who are responsible for safety cannot cope with the threats. In spite of the fact that there is the law on the safety of mass events which includes the guidelines concerning ensuring life protection, health and property protection during the events like football matches one can see that there are a lot of shortcomings and the mistakes of the organizers and the security services. This leads to the incidents which constitute a threat to all the people who participate in the sporting events.
