THE NARRATION AND THE DIRECTIONS OF THE RUSSIAN PROPAGANDA AND DISINFORMATION ACTIVITIES IN THE CONTEXT OF THE WAR IN UKRAINE
Synopsis
The war in Ukraine is an example of an effective use of information sphere to achieve military and political objectives. Russian large-scale propaganda and disinformation activities are aimed not only at the recipients who are at the same time the participants of the conflict but it is also directed at the people connected with them in different types of relations. In this respect the configuration of the narratives of particular pieces of information which differ is a vital issue. Depending on the narration type, a particular piece of information is directed at various recipients with the aim of achieving multiple objectives. Taking into account the threats which these narrations entail, it should be stated that it is essential to be aware of them and to recognize them correctly. It is also necessary to classify various groups, which are targeted by propaganda and disinformation activities and to classify the narration directed at them. This will allow, at least approximately, to identify the objectives and the expected results.
