The motivating function is a sphere o f management whose
importance is rising constantly in the context of the necessitation of
acquisition and retention of modern organizations’ most valuable
resource human capital. Therefore, considerable attention has been paid
to the issue of motivation bo th in domestic and foreign literature.
However, the extent to which correlations are recognized between the
motivating function and the financial standing of enterprises remains
somewhat limited. The gaps, both theoretical and empirical observed in
this re gard served as the principal reasons underlying the author’s
decision to undertake research into the said issue. In order to effectively
support actions aimed at improving the financial situation of enterprises,
it is necessary to employ effective motivati onal tools. Their impact on the
effects of business activity is reflected in the level of efficacy of employees’
undertakings which is a derivative of motivation. The publication
presents an original concept in that the links between the motivating
functio n and the financial standings of enterprises are studied.
