Crime on the Polish-Russian border in the aspect of small border traffic

The article explores the subject of cross-border crime at the Poland-Kaliningrad Oblast border. The extent of the phenomenon and features of the most common trans-gressions against the law is shown on the basis of statistical data of the Border Guard. In addition, the article discusses the scope of cooperation of services responsible for the security of the national border, which is one of the basic functions of the state. Attention is drawn to the impact of cross-border crime on the security of Poland. The paper also attempts at indicating actions to be taken to combat this phenomenon.
