Joy from a literarily recreated family home on the example of a collection of short stories “Uśmiech dzieciństwa “ and the novel “Noce i dnie” by Maria Dąbrowska
Synopsis
The collection of short plays, The Smile of Childhood, written in 1923 by Maria Dabrowska, can belong to the literary mouvement of memories. In this collection, we can say, that the author dwells on the past. So in a literary way, she creates a dwelling of her own, the one of her childhood, called Russow, next to Kalisz. Later, this dwelling becomes Serbinow in the novel Nights and days. In the latter, the writer refers to the characters and situations of her childhood. Thanks to this autobiography as well as to the hypertextualty, Dabrowska relives the past.
