Economic value of statistical human life in terms of road safety

This publication presents research on the scientific analysis of the relationship between the factors of civilsational and economic development and the level of safety in road traffic, and a proprietary method of assessing the economic valueof human life in terms of the safety of road traffic participants using the concept of "willingness to pay" was developed, which was verified in Polish conditions. An  assessment of the impact of various factors determining  the civilisational and economic development on the amount of economic costs of road accidents, including the economic value of statistical human life, was also carried out
