Archiwum fotograficzne archiwisty-fotoamatora
Synopsis
The work of amateur photographers, taking photos occasionally, escapes the division of the archival photographic resource into private archives of professional photographers, archives of photo agencies and thematic collections. An example is my photo archive, which I plan to transfer to National Digital Archives. I have been photographing since my school days, initially with analogue Praktica cameras,
and then with Canon and Nikon digital reflex cameras. My analog photographs (2000-2007) show old urban architecture. Then (2008-2015) I explored abandoned buildings (so called urban exploration). At that time, there was a gradual transition to digital photography. In addition, I photographed various architectural details and curiosities. Since 2013, I have been running a popular science blog about nuclear physics, where I review dosimetric devices and fight myths related to the phenomenon of radioactivity. Museums, especially of technology and military, are a separate field of creativity. The last section of my archive are photos taken during work, leisure and running a household. Naturally, some of the thematic groups remained outside the paper.
