Spuścizny archiwalne w instytucjach polonijnych i ich opracowanie. Zarys problematyki na przykładzie Archiwum Polskiej Misji Katolickiej w Szwajcarii
Synopsis
Polish diaspora institutions scattered around the world collect, store and make archival materials available. Amongst them is the Polish Catholic Mission in Switzerland, established in 1950. The oldest documents stored in the Mission Archive’s come from the 1840s. The ordering process began in the 1990s. Both Polish diaspora in Swizerland and institutions from Poland were involved in it. However, it is only after starting cooperation with the The State Archives Head Office in Warsaw that archival works are systematically and successively developed by subsequent archival teams. The methodological issues related to the development of archives were discussed on the example of three legacies: the Bronarski Family Archive, the Legacy of Professor Adam Vetulani (1901-1976) and the Legacy of Father Józef Maria Bocheński (1902-1995).
