The observations which parts of the human brain are the most active during “free association” give to science some clues about creativity. The neurosciences compared the brains of highly creative people with those of control subjects as they engaged in tasks that activated their association cortices. The sciences found that creativity tends to run in families as well and that creativity takes diverse forms. The result gives clues that the nurture clearly plays a very strong role. Half the subjects come from very high-achieving back-grounds. Some results proved that creativity is connected with neuronal disorders.
