Jęczmień i jego formy jako pokarm szkodników magazynowych na przykładzie kapturnika zbożowca (Rhyzopertha dominica F.)

Barley is widely cultivated and used in many ways crop. During its storage, it is exposed to foraging storage pests, including the lesser grain borer. The purpose of the work was to determine the development of the lesser grain borer on barley grains of various utility types. The development of the pest was tested on barley grains belonging to various types of use, i.e. brewing varieties, fodder varieties and on malts. The obtained results indicate that all the tested utility types are a good habitat for the development of the lesser grain borer, Smoked malt and light malt proved to be the best habitat for this insect. On the other hand, barley fodder varieties are the most resistant varieties for lesser grain borer foraging.
