Dynamika rozwoju agroenergetyki w wybranych krajach europejskich

The aim of the article is to present dynamic changes in obtaining alternative sources of energy of agricultural origin in proportion to new legislative restrictions. Bioenergy is the world's largest source of renewable energy. It provides certainty of energy security and is also the key to achieving a climate-neutral energy system. Bioenergy saved about 7% of EU-28 greenhouse gas emissions in 2017, making it a safe ally in reducing global emissions by 2050. The use of bioenergy has more than doubled since 2000 and represents almost 60% of the total renewable energy consumption in the EU. Biomass for energy production is mainly produced locally (less than 5% of imports), so substituting fossil fuels with bioenergy also improves the EU's energy security.
