MӒNNERNNER-FRAUENFRAUEN-BEZIEHUNGEN IN DER ÖSTERREICHISCHEN JUGENDLITERATUR

In this article I analyse the contrasting couples in Austrian youth literature, especially in the literary work of Christine Nöstlinger. Three main models can be distinguished here: 1. Despot men and submissive wives, 2. Indolent husbands and businesswomen, 3. Female husbands and omnipotent wives. In youth literature and in the texts for adults of Nöstlinger, liberal and traditional family models are very often figured as the counterpole.
