Zarządzanie informacją – zarys problemu

Information management concerns information recorded in an electronic form or on paper. Information resources are subject to planning, organizing, managing as well as controlling at every stage. Understanding the need to manage the information is not clear to everyone. Frequently, it is limited only to electronic resources since this term is usually associated with information society. Modern society produces, processes, gathers, conveys and receives an enormous amount of information by means of the most advanced ICT technologies. Hence, information management has to be a complex acting in managing every organization (office, company, community or business organization). The following article is an attempt to present the process of information management in an organization and to explain the crucial elements of the subject. This article consists of information management issues, including traditional information systems as well as ICT systems.
