Bariery informacyjne jako czynnik kształtujący współczesne bezpieczeństwo informacyjne

The study presents a reflection on the nature and classification of information barriers. The analysis is conducted in the context of the relationship between information barriers and information security. On the broad theoretical background, including the characterization of the essence of information, comprehension and features of the information society, the increasing importance of information security has been pointed out. The section that follows reviews definitions related to the understanding of the term 'infor-mation barrier'. The next fragment of the analysis concerns the classification of information barriers present in the literature and ends with the presentation of the author's version. The summary postulates the need to intensify research on information barriers in the field of security sciences. Including these barriers in the scope of securitology's interest is associated with the need to ensure an adequate level of information security based on the freedom of access and exchange of high quality information. An important argument in favor of such research is the fact that information security is also built on the basis of the interactions between humans and information, as well as on information relations between people, which in the event of information barriers can be deeply disturbed.
