„НАСТУПАЕТ КАКАЯ-ТО ВСЕОБЩАЯ ИСПОВЕДЬ“: РУССКАЯ АВТОРСКАЯ ИСПОВЕДЬ XIX В.

In this article, the author aims to draw attention to the genre of Russian autobiographical confession. A brief overview of the group of the most representative texts of the 19th century is given, and the experience of their primary classification is presented. With a certain degree of conditionality, the author of the article identified several varieties of autobiographical confessions: 1) confession-repentance (repentance and conversion), 2) confession-recognition (author’s self-justification), 3) confession-cognition (natural-scientific self-knowledge), 4) confession – literary biography (essay on life and work), 5) confession-preaching (propaganda of certain ideas).
