SYTUACJE KRYZYSOWE I KRYTYCZNE – RUDYMENTY TEORII

The article presents the issues of human life situations in a negative scenario. Although the main attention was focused on two categories – a crisis and a critical situation, all the considerations were integrated into the broader background of the theory of situations, including difficult, extreme and border situations. Crisis situations are the face of the crisis, which is a consequence of the negative development of the life path of individuals and communities. The crisis may or may not compromise security. Threats identified and addressed in a timely manner can inspire and lead to more successful states and development towards perfection (Promethean variant). The problem is the crisis not overcome – when it leads to destruction and defeat, and even the destruction of its subject (catastrophic variant). As the crisis escalates, it can smoothly turn into a critical situation. Generally speaking, a critical situation can be a negatively aggravated crisis situation or a condition manifesting itself in a sudden and extreme form. Critical events with negative effects, which are of key importance and are destructive to the course and quality of life of people are considered critical. Because of the overwhelming, destructive and traumatic effects, the critical situation is therefore a situation of no choice. To avoid total destruction, it requires decisive and effective reactive actions.
