The issue of safety in the school environment has been treated marginally for many years. Although nowadays it has become the subject of interest for almost all environments related to education. The common goal of both the educational system and the non-educational system institutions is to ensure the safety of children and adolescents. Strengthening the feeling of security in the school environment is one of the priorities of the state's education policy. The whole school community, employees, including teachers, pupils, parents, and above all the director of the facility should participate in building a safe school. Security tasks imposed on schools and other educational institutions have been included in many legal acts. The article below presents selected normative and legal acts in which the director and teachers will find the most important issues related to safety in the school environment.
