Opisać Prasłowian − zadanie literackie (Zofii Kossak Gród nad jeziorem oraz Troja Północy Zofii Kossak i Zygmunta Szatkowskiego)

The article attempts to analyze two novels by Zofia Kossak: Gród nad jeziorem and Troja Północy, the latter written together with Zygmunt Szatkowski. Both books deal with the distant history of early Slavs in the context of historical sources. The author combines formally and morphologically distinct literary genres to express her love for history and the need to establish relations with the reader in order to bring him closer to the old, even legendary, history and encourage him to learn about it.
